Hear Our Stories

Many of the women who have used this guided imagery have called or written to tell me about their experiences with guided imagery. Here are a few of their comments:

"Cancer is a scary journey that for some brings up many negative thoughts and fears. Guided imagery on the other hand helps an individual focus on something that is positive, believable and possible. I highly recommend this CD to any woman who is trying to find inner peace and strength as she deals with the cancer journey. Excellent resource to nurture one’s spirit!"

"Guided Imagery was the single most important aspect of my healing process after being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34. As a physical therapist who treats breast cancer survivors, I now recommend Linda Goodwin’s Guided Imagery CD to my breast cancer patients.

Stressors during cancer treatment can make surviving and healing from treatment much more difficult. Guided Imagery is the single most important tool I used and know of. It can bring hidden stressors to the surface and helps to activate our own healing mechanisms to deal with them. Energy is transferred from negative, scattered and unfocused to positive, directed and purposeful after just one session.

Linda’s voice and musical background are the best I have heard. She has an uncanny ability to transfer the patient to a different level of consciousness and peace. I began listening to her CD during my breast cancer treatment and continue to listen to it to find inner calm and strength when I need it the most.

I was transported to a world of calm and inner strength at a time in my life when I did not think I could summon these feelings. It brought a new clarity in a time of great confusion and helped me determine my priorities as a breast cancer survivor."

"The Guided Imagery" CD helped me so much during the time that I was dealing with breast cancer! I played it every night before going  to sleep. It totally relaxed me and always resulted in a  great night's sleep. The most challenging tests, such as my having MRI's and Bone Scans were made possible because I was able to do the "Guided Imagery" techniques. I truly believe that I wouldn't have been able to get through those two procedures without the help of this amazing CD. I will always believe that  Linda Goodwin's "Guided Imagery for Women With Breast Cancer" made my experiences much more pleasant! I highly recommend this CD for every woman who has to go through Breast Cancer! I promise that it will help you, too! Best Wishes!"

"Just this year, I learned the benefits of guided imagery and that CDs were designed and researched for different illnesses using this technique to help folks feel better. As I used one of these CDs to “get better as much as I could” with another chronic illness, I found I did feel better--not well--but definitely more positive due to the healing affirmations and images in my head and heart.   When the diagnosis of breast cancer came a few months ago, I wanted to use guided imagery to speed my personal journey of coping and recovery with this challenge too. I was fortunate to find this CD, Guided Imagery for Women with Breast Cancer by Dr. Linda Goodwin. I have often called it "my happy CD" since as I listened to it, it re-energized me and helped the little demons of despair, frustration, and even the tears back off while I rested in a happier and safe place.  This special CD has an extra track of peaceful music when I needed a few more restful moments after the images ended.  Today just 3 months after surgery, I am doing well and I believe that guided imagery was important for me again on my healing journey."
